I am the Writing Specialist for the TRIO Multilingual Learners Program at Sonoma State University. I work primarily with underrepresented students at the college level, providing one-on-one support for writers, training peer tutors, and conducting workshops on academic and college success.  I also teach part time, both composition and writing strategies for multilingual writers. I am also working on my PhD in English, Composition and TESOL at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania

My research interests include translingualism, digital literacy, and examining how traditional pedagogical choices, assignments, and the like affect the increasing population of non-traditional students including multilingual students, first generation students, and returning students, among others.
